Im having a Dma problem, I think.
I my device manager i show 2 seprate Dma's one ok the other has a yellow ! next to it.
For the life of me i cant figure out what/where the problem is.
I will list the info from the to Dma's as if u hit the properties tab in devices.
    Dma #1-good one.
Settings-all are on defaults Reserve memory-0,Addy restrictions 4GB
    Driver -Driver is Vmm32.vxd(vdmad.vxd)
Resources-Use auto setttings checked,6 in/out range 0000-000f,0081-0083,0087-0087,0089-008B,008F-008F,00C0-00DF are the settings for in/out's, and DMA 04 is last setting, and this is also not showing any conflicts

    Dma #2-Bad one
Under general info, the VDMAD.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver.(code 2)
    Settings- Res mem 0,unchecked, Addy restriction,unchecked, 4GB
Driver info is same as one above. Vmm32.vxd(vdmad.vxd)
Resources- Mega conflicts here. Lotsa red circles with lines through them.
Automatic settings is checked. Resources type(All are conflicting cept one)
    DMA-04, In/Out 0000-000f,0080-0090,0094-009f(this one not conflicting),00C0-00DF
    System is p2-500, 512ram, win98,Geforce2 32mg vid,SB sound card...
Please feel free to let me know if you need more info about my system
Here is a little more info might help someone out. This from Microsoft system info in system tools.

    Direct memory access controller System
    This Device Has a Problem: Code=2 (0x2)
Device failure: Try changing the driver for this device. If that doesn't work, see your hardware documentation.
    Registry Key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\enum\ACPI\*PNP0200\0
Dont know if that helps or not, hopefully someone can help me figure this out. Biggest thing I guess is what the failure is. System seems to run fine....
Ok well thank you for your help if u happen to be able to help

    dma

You should tell us more about your system. guessing here now that ya have a virtual device driver prob *.VXD &/or memory as in VMM32can =virtual memory manager. Perhaps you have a hardware device & removed it & the vxd is still lookin'? Zip drive? Parralel passthro to scanner? External cdrom, etc?:)
The box will still run fine but the yellow "Splats" will stay in DM
