    Hello,
    When I boot up my computer, I get a message saying:
    .DLL file, LTFIL12N.DLL cannot be found.
    I believe this is relating to a screensaver program I had installed a few months ago...Can I fix this without uninstalling the screensaver. I don't believe it's available any more.

    You don't need to open it...besides, if you open it in a text editor like Notepad, all you're going to see is a buncha' code.

    If you've found and downloaded a copy of the LTFIL12N.DLL all you need to do is put it in the folder where it belongs so that when Windows looks for it, it'll find it and the error message won't appear. Unfortunately, since Windows can't find it we probably won't be able to either sooo....

    All then screen saver files on my 98 system are in C:\windows\system folder so try putting that dll there and see if the error stops coming up.

    I would try it on C:\Windows first, then put it into C:\Windows\System, if still not found try these dos commands, with the file in the System folder. Open a dos window;
    cd\windows\system
    regsvr32 LTFIL12N.DLL

    This will register it into the windows registry, or give an error, such as entry point not found.
    A Dll file is a Dynamic Link Library, it is meant only to be used by an executable program, not a stand alone app.

    Thanks for all the help...I believe this screensaver is starting to be too much trouble...When I loaded the missing DLL., then another one poped up, then another, then another & so on. I could not find the last DLL. on Google so I gave up. This perticular screensaver was difficult to shut down on start up...A friend of mine was working on my computer a while back & he got so frustrated with the SS he must have removed certain DLL.'s to shut it down. Do other SS act this way?...I downloaded it from Yahoo Greetings.

    This screensaver from Yahoo must have other things in mind, as you mention multiple files needed to run, and no, other normal screensavers do not need all this.
