dll failed to register

sorry to bother you guys again so soon after fixing a previous error

i am trying to re-install my labtec web cam as the programe fails to start correctly

whilst installing i get the following error

error 1904.modulec\program files\labtec\webcam\LVMcomp.dll failed to register.
HRESULT -2147023898.

any ideas please, the web cam does work as i use it in several programes but if i want to use it to say take pictures or make a video the programe fails to load its select activity. :ie a menu of options along the top such as take picture or create video

This seems to be a classic case of a poorly written driver and/or application.

Try going to the manufacturer's web site and see if there is a newer version of the driver and/or program.

 

you are correct, the labtec home page downloaded the new programe.all now working problem resolved
