Disreguard.just looking for what "thread tools" looks like.

Never saw the "thread tools" options. I can't remember the last time I started a post so I have never seen this 1st hand. Got curious and figured I'd have a look.

 

now to see if this shows up regardless of thread.

 

Did you try to resolve it? It doesn't show.

 

Click the Thread Tools link on the right end of the bar above the first post and a menu will drop down showing you some options. If you created the Thread, one of those options will be "Mark Thread Resolved ".



Note that the options that do show will vary from site to site.

 

Sorry never meant for anyone to respond to this. As stated in my posts I was just doing this out of curiosity. I rarely or never start a post therefore I have never seen the thread tools that allows one to mark a post as resolved. I did, recently, participate in a post where original poster claimed he could not find nor see such an entry or function in his post. Just needed a peek and as expected "Thar she be "...right where it was expected. Thanks for trying to be helpful but I didn't have a problem beyond being nosy.
