    I did a clean installation with the help from this board. My color not right In display properties 16 color and 640 by 480 pixels and this setting cannot be chamged the slide bar will not move.
    In the win disk vga drivers readme it says I need to use VGA.VXD In system.ini, edit the display= line in the [386enh] section to ad vga.vxd so that it appears as : display=*vdd,vga.vxd And to the same in system.cb { for fail safe boot}
    I went to run> msconfig>system ini and changed the display line and all I got was an error message at startup as I undid changes
    What should I do for this? Thanks

    It sounds like the correct video drivers for your video card didn't get installed and Windows is using the generics.

    If you know what kind of video card you have, go to the manufacturer's web site to download and install drivers for it.

    If you don't know what kind it is, try downloading and installing Aida32 which should be able to give you the information you need about the card.
