Disk space error

    Hey guys

    Im running a dell dimension 4100 with a D and a C drive both are about 1000 Mhz space. and i used windows ME for a long time. I just recently got XP on my cpu and i didnt relize it at first but it say i have 1.99 GB toall space and 40 Mb free space. Now this is not right and i feel it has something to do with windows Xp and all i have installed on this cpu is 1 game and Nortan anti virus

    What you find and report is not unusual. The XP Windows folder alone is well over 1 gig on a fairly new install. It tends to grow larger with age. It will get much larger if you aren't adept at "housecleaning" and leave all the files that get created with updates, etc.

    Officially, Win XP requires 1.5 gigs of drive space so you're a tad short if you have it installed on a 1 gig partition. Frankly, I'm surprised you can operate it at all!
