Resolved Disappearing Taskbar Icons

    What would cause the Taskbar Icons to disappear? All of a sudden, with no apparent changes to my system, all the Icons on my taskbar disappeared and have not reappeared with subsequent reboots.

    Which ones? Quick Launch - left hand end of Taslbar or Notification icons - right hand end - or both?

    The "Taskbar" as stated, not the Tray. If you insist, the left one.

    I do insist - there are 3 elements of the Taskbar - Quick Launch, Notification Area and the area between these two in which minimised peograms are shown.

    First step - right click on Taskbar > Properties > Taskbar tab - Taskbar appearance - is 'Show Quick Launch' checked?
