Disappearing icon

    I use two computers, one as a stand alone machine for photography, and one for the internet.
    When I work on a photograph which I want to send over the internet, I transfer it with a memory stick - but before removing the stick I click on the icon at the bottom of the screen - "Safely remove software "
    From time to time this icon disappears on the Internet computer and I am forced just to remove the memory stick.
    Is there a way of getting the icon back when it disappears?

    Hi John

    Good (?) to see you here again :)

    Try this ....

    Right click in a blank area of the Taskbar > Properties - in the dialogue window which pops up - is 'Hide inactive icons' checked - if so uncheck it.
