Disabling some programs

    Hey all,

    I need some advice/directions as to how to disable unecessary program from the startup of computer. It seems like my computer is a bit slow and I have dsl, I'm thinking that I may have a bunch of programs running at start-up and in the back ground that I probably donot need taking up space and speed.

    All help will be very much appreciated.

    There are many free programs that do that well. I use Quick Startup and like it better than any others I have tested.
