Using Windows NT4.O Workstation, Internet Explorer 5.5, on Novell 5.0 Network.
Cannot disable proxy settings. Have unchecked under IE internet options, and lan settings. When rebooted or relogged in, settings revert back to previously set proxy settings.
Could this setting be automatically set by any other source?
    Thanks!

Try disabling the proxy while in Safe (VGA?) Mode.

    Thanks for your reply.
Using NT 4.0 Workstation, so there is to my knowledge no "safe" mode other than opening in VGA mode as you suggested. Tried that to no result....reverted back to proxy settings. It has to be automatically loading from another source system wide.
