    Hello,

while being logged in and using Windows XP, I right-clicked my hard drive, chose Tools and Check Now. Then I checked the check boxes "Automatically fix files system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors ". After clicking on Start, I was asked if I wanted to perform this scan at Windows startup and I chose YES. But Windows doesn't seem to bring the scan to the end when it launches ...
Now I would like to DISABLE this checking routine at Windows startup but I don't know how to turn this off :(

    Please, help me.

    Ralf

Ralf - would you care to share this with us? Useful to have in the Board Archives for future reference.
