    I am running Netscape 7.0.2. I would like to disable the Netscape Network Registration that occurs on application startup. Is anyone aware of a way for this to be disabled?

    Just click Cancel will do.

    Or download Holger's Compact.
    However, Jay Garcia is asking you to register with Netscape.

    Hi Ross,

    It would be most helpful if you do register. However, if the Registration window is driving you batty, here are two steps you can take:

    There are two solutions that will disable the Activation process:

    Step One:
    Delete or rename the file activation.dll found in:
    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\components

    Step Two:
    Go to C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\defaults\pref folder.
    Open the all-ns.js with Notepad and find the following entry:

    pref( "browser.registration.enable ", true);

    change to false, as shown below:

    pref( "browser.registration.enable ", false);

    Remember to back up the all-ns.js file before editing.
