Is there a way to disable a user from saving information locally, such as in My Documents? The reason I ask is I have a file server set up and I do not want any of my users to be able to continue to save their files locally. Does anyone have any idea if this can be done and how. Thanks

There are several approaches to this.

Are the users all on Win2K? (you can right click on the My Documents icon and under Properties change the location of the My Documents folder)

What programs are you using? (most Micro$oft programs allow you to choose where to automatically save files)

Hey a fellow San Diegian! You were right. After I posted I went back and noticed that you can change the location of the folder. What was really nice was that when I did this, it also transferred all the data to the new location. Very Nice! From what I have noticed all programs are defaulting to the new location on the file server. Thanks for the input.
