disable automatic update in MS Office 2003

    How to disable automatic update in MS Office 2003?

    Didn't know it had that facility?
    I have to manually go to the update site through the tools menu and ask the site to scan for updates. AFAIK the only update for Office 2003 post SP1 is the Outlook Junk email update.

    I don't have auto update in Office 2003 either but I wonder if you are referring to the cftmon.exe which runs as a service? I know it is not for auto updates but this is one service others have questions about.
