directx problems

    hi, i have directx 9 installed on my computer. the tests werent working so i downloaded an older diver and the tests worked. but now whenever i play any game it just shows the game with weird colors.

    (that's Halo^^^)

    and when i do the directx tests the driectx 8 and 9 cubes are the same type as
    the above picture. any way to fix this?

    First step is to uninstall your video card drivers and associated software , reboot and re-install. It sounds like the driver (do you mean video driver or DirectX here?) you downloaded is not fully compatible with Directx.

    Either your drivers have got corrupted or, possibly, the video card has a problem.

    I downloaded an older nvidia driver because people said that the older drivers fix the game problems. I'll try to uninstall and reboot.
