    Hi all

My son has two pc's he wants to directly connect. The main one runs Win 7 and the other XP SP3, both have PCI ethernet network cards in and are currently connected with a crossover ethernet cable. he does not require the second pc to connect to the internet.

We have set them both up identically but can't get any communication twixt them...and i'm not sure where we are going wrong

Not having any experience with this, i stupidly thought that it would be relatively easy to set up...but i'm wrong again LOL

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

    Cheers

    Martin

Hi Mr Bill, sorry for the late reply...

Yes, he is using a crossover cable, and i've made sure his main PC has the card listed as 32 bit which makes it identical to the other one....

I've been busy so not had an opportunity to try other methods....i'm sure i will resolve it soon :O)

    Cheers, Martin
