I plugged my digicam into my computer's USB port to download my pictures, as I do every week. For the first time, I got the Device Failed to Connect sound and the camera's folder didn't pop up as it's supposed to.

I unplugged it, waited a minute, plugged it back in, and this time it worked. Why would it have refused to work the first time around?

My computer and camera specs are in my sig.

Bit of dirt/dust on the plug/port preventing good contact?

    Windows 'busy elsewhere'??

Dust or dirt, not that I could see. Well I always have a bunch of **** running and it works fine usually. So maybe Windows just had a little brain fart.
