I am using Win98. I have copied photos recently from my digital camera. I have not experienced any problem. But yesterday I copied about 100 photos from a CD. When i opened the JPEG files in IE, I was able to see only some 10 photos after that i can see only blank pages for the remaining photos. I restarted the computer. After that again I was able to see only few photos and the remaining pages are blank when i click the image files. Whereas I can able to view all the photos that were copied from the digital camera. I even deleted all the temporary files. Even then I am not able to view all the photos copied from the CD.

Been a while since I faced thumbnail view or viewer issue in win98xx so while I refresh my memory I'd like to suggest that you give a program, that is recommended quite frequently here, a shot. It is freeware and called "irfanview ". I think you'll like it and be glad you did. Don't forget to download the additional plugins offered also.
    http://www.irfanview.com/

Once downloaded open your photos in it.

====Please try the above reguardless of any success the below references may give==========

In the post above, pay special attention to thread number 3 and the first link offered which leads to a site that has some regpatches. The ones suggested are located about half way down the page entitled "THUMBNAIL & IMAGE PREVIEW RESTORE ".
