    Has anyone seen a freeware/shareware utility similar to the dialog helper that comes with PowerDesk?

    A cool idea - adds icons to the file open dialog box for the most recent 20 files and 20 folders accessed.

    I don't want all the stuff that comes with Power Desk.

    Why not utilize what you already have.
    ===The F3 [keyborad key] "FIND" dialogue box.===
    *Hit F3
    *In name field, type focus of interest, use wildcard[d], or leave blank.
    *Make sure appropriate drive and subfolders are ticked.
    *tick the "Date" tab
    *put a tick in the "find all files ",dropdown arrow tick "accessed "
    *pick your time qualifier and hit search.
    NOTE*you can save this[these] searches to desktop as shortcuts and use when you wish.

    Just a thought........
    Sure someone will supply a favorite handy tweak or tool that will serve same function. This was just what popped into my head, as I try to keep 3rd party programs down to the "Can't do without's" and tend to use what's already there whenn able.
