I have just installed Win2K on my machine and have noticed that the modem connection icon that appears on the taskbar looks the same as the icon in Win98 but it does not give the same information for the connection. In 98 it gave me the modem connection speed but in 2K in only gives the port speed between the modem and the computer. Does anyone know of a way to get the modem to modem connection speed to be displayed in Win2K or do I need to use a 3rd party program to acheive this?

    Many Thanks

Go to modem properties-advanced Extra initilazation commands and put

    w2

    on that line.
