Everytime my PC resumes after Stand-By mode, the dial up connection does not seem to be "read" by XP. The connection could be made, shown as connected, but all programs like IE, OE, even ping command, none of them can detect the connection. So naturally, I need to reboot XP, and that would solve the problem.

This isn't a huge problem, but certainly annoying enough to make me want to go back to Win98 SE. Any suggestions? I have tried disabling Zone Alarm, and the XP firewall, problem persists..

Amendment to the previous message - The "invisible" dial-up only happens if successful connections (no matter how many times)had been made before going into Stand-By mode.

Could this be a winsock.dll problem?

    Never mind, Problem solved

Umh. Soliloquy continues, but ends here. I ENABLE my 10/100 adapter, and that ends the problem I described. I don't why this would work, since I am not using local area connection at all. Well, if it works, it works.
