I have a workstation that is networked both Ethernet and Wirelessly. Neither connections will auto-configure correctly, instead they are sign a 169.x.x.x APIPA address. I can try to manually configure an IP address for them but they can't communicate on the network and neither can any network computers communicate with it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers tried an external adapter. I'm going to pop another HD in it in a second to see if the installation of Windows makes a difference.

The last thing I want to do is format and reinstall to fix the issue. Hopefully we can work through this together. Thanks for your help guys!

Run the Windows build in Network Troubleshooter: Type fix network in your Start menu's Search programs and files box, and from the results that show, click Identify and fix networking and connection problems.

I ended up just backing up the files and moving them back on after a reinstall. Sorry for the late update. Thanks guys!
