I decided to check the properties of my LAN connection.

    IP address: 192.168.20.10
    Default Gateway: 192.168.20.1 (Router)
    DHCP Server: 192.168.20.2 (Server)
    DNS Server: 192.168.20.2 (Server)
    WINS Server: 192.168.20.2 (Server)

I am a little confused as when I first set up the network I am sure that I set up the Router to be the DHCP and DNS Server, but now they these functions are controlled by my SBS 2003 server.

I am concerned about having both the router and server with DHCP enabled, even though it appears that the server is doing the work. The DHCP pages of both router and server were matching up until I changed my IP address, now it is only registering on the server. I am wondering if I should only have 1 DHCP server enabled. I am concerned if I start to mess about with things then they will stop working.

Any advice would be a great help. Not sure if I am worrying over nothing.

Surprised your not already having problems. Disable DHCP on the router.
