I am having a problem that I think has to do with permissions. I am putting it in this forum since it is a Windows2000 issue. It is the fact that I cannot have my customized toolbar settings in Excel saved. Each time I create it (or REcreate it) it fails to reload. The KB article addressing this topic talks about permissions, but I am not certain about how I, as a user not administrator, can change them. For instance, my C Docs & Settings\username\app..dat\Microsoft folder shows Allow with the boxes greyed out but checked, on the Security tab for that folder. So shouldn't this mean I *can* save my customized toobar (Excel10.xlb) file when created?
Or do I have to be the Administrator to really see what my permissions are?
Thanks for any guidance on this issue.

Checked = you do have the permissions
Greyed out = you cannot make changes to the permissions

My guess is that the needed changes aren't in that folder but somewhere you don't have adequate permissions.

Post a link to the Kb (so I'm lazy tonight) and someone will take a look to see if it provides any clues.
