I was a "victim" of a trojan virus and was able to get all the viruses wiped off of my computer, thankfully. But I have one problem. I can't change my desktop properties.

    Here's what I'm doing...

On my desktop, I right click that, go into properties, and I click on the desktop as if I was to change my background. But I CAN'T change my background. The word "background" is grayed out like it's unavailable. The only thing I can do is change the color now. I can't use the "browse" or "position" options.

All of this was a result of the virus. I don't know how to fix it. I've tried many things, but I'm not sure if it's a damaged sector, if the video card got damaged... I just don't know what it is. Any help or info on this would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

    Thank yas :)

Go to Kelly's Korner, scroll down to line 142 and in the right-hand colum, click on "Allow Wallpaper Background Changes" to download a small reg file. Save it to the hard drive. (May have to right click the link, left click "Save target as.. ")

Once downloaded, run it according to the directions at the top of the Kelly's Korner page.

    See if that fixes things.
