desktop problem.....need fix:

    Running XP pro, P4 and 512ram====
    Desktop was normal till the other morning, booted up and about 1/3 of the desktop screen on the left side had some type of menu items as follows:
    Top said Desktop
    Folder Tasks
    other places
    Details
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    all of the above was on a blue background AND on the right side was my normal selected wallpaper......that's it!!!

    I right/click it to chg properties or anything, i can't find any way to get ride of it or know what caused it.......Any Ideas???

    OSSA: I have XP Home and I had that happen once. What I had done was, dragged a desktop icon too close to the edge. I just right clicked in it and selected close tool bar. It will not close others.
