Resolved Desktop not shown in left sidebar...

    Desktop not shown in left sidebar, in the "Save As" or "Browse" windows.
    All of the other normal icons are there such as; My Computer, C: Local Disk, D: CD/DVD and My documents, but Desktop is not there.
    How do I go about adding it back to the sidebar or removing one from the sidebar?

    Miz....I checked these out and.....
    The MS Office apps is the only time the "Desktop" appears in the sidebar.
    If I try to save a text file in notepad or maybe some pics in Paint, "Desktop" will not appear in the left sidebar.
    I guess the proper name for that sidebar is "My Places "?

    Did you use Microsoft's TweakUI (or a 3rd party 'tweaker')?

    Have a look at TweakUI and the settings under Common Dialogs > Places Bar.

    I had forgotten all the things Tweak UI could do.
    It fixed my problem, but I wonder what caused it in the first place?
