I have a laptop with win 98 which my son has been using resently, he has been surffing were he should not be. I now have the following link "your computer is full of evidence you need help now" appearing on my Desktop & Favorites.
I can't get rid of it I have deleted it, cleared the net history, deleted cookies and all the inplanted programs from the sites.

I have used Lavasoft Addware pro 6, but they still come back every time I reboot the laptop.

It is now driving me insane.........does anyone know how to get rid of these things

    Thanks

    Bob:confused:

Download, update and run Spybot. Delete all it finds and flags. Update and run Ad-aware again. See last post in this thread for max configuration. If still present, scan with HijackThis, available here, and save log. Open with notepad and post results here. Don't fix anything with it yet!

    Hi Bob,
I assume the Laptop has a floppy slot and you can boot from
    an ERU floppy disk.
    At the prompt type
    del c:windows/desktop/yourco~1.url
    regards
PS I do not think this will be the end of it ...
but we can look further at your Start-Up entries

Please do not double post. As you are new to the Board I have merged your threads and moved the whole to Security/Virus/Spyware
