    Hi all, I am new to Windows 2K and need a hand:) At some stage on a freinds PC he lost all his desktop icons:( they do not re appear upon reboot. Is there a hide icon facility in windows 2K and if so where is it. Many thanks 4 any info guys.

    Did he change his user id at logon? Meaning, if he was logging in as admin and added several icons, then changed his logon to Bill, the icons "should" be gone. They are specific to the user.
