Desktop icons on Win Xp don't work

    I have Win XP Home and recently when I click on any disktop icon, it will only send me to norton cleanup. I deleted Norton and then it only will send me to Winzip. Any idea what is going on here? Thanks in advance.

    Have you run any virus scans? The Symantantec site has a free one. You may want to try running AdAware or Spybot, too. There is a utility to repair the desktop icons in XP, but in order for them to get that messed up, I'd guess something else is going on. Have you tried to set up a new desktop icon, click on it and see if it behaves properly? Post back.
