    Windows 7, Chrome
Suddenly all my desktop icons have changed to the web site opened with the previous icon. None of them take me to the correct site.

Tried to run System Restore and cannot run it from any previous restore point.

    desktop icons

I was able to run System Restore in safe mode, but it did not change the problem with desktop icons. Interestingly, I have one IE icon on the desktop, all the others are from Chrome and that one IE icon is OK. Any help appreciated.

Also,I apologize for duplicating my original thread.

I found my answer in the Microsoft Community Support; change the browser settings in Chrome and all is well now. Such a relief. Thanks for the help
