Is there a way to replace the "desktop.exe" file in Windows 2000. I am working on a computer in which this file has gotten a Trojan horse.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Desktop.exe probably is the trojan.

I just searched my win2k AND 2k server machine and do not have the file...

    W32/Dansh-A for instance.

I think there may have been a desktop.exe on Microsoft OS versions at one time but pre-Win98 for sure. There is also a legit Unix file by that name but on a 2K system, it's a critter.
