What is your D drive? CD, DVD another HD?

There are different beeps. Long ones and short ones and there can be a combination of them.

C is your HD with your OS on it. When it boots, go to Start, My Computer, Right click on it and choose Properties/Hardware/Device Manager. See if you have any YELLOW ? or ! in there. If so, what is it behind. You can always click on the problem device and tell it to update drivers. Let it go on line and do it. If it don't find any, you can uninstall the device and reboot and windows will/should find it and install it if it can.

Try booting into Safe Mode. Keep taping usually the F8 Key when you turn it on. Some PC's use a different F key and sometimes it shows you what it is when you first turn on the power. Usually it is pretty quick so be looking.

Does it give you an F2 and an F12 when you first turn it on? Try F12 and choose HD.

If the system is still under warranty, have Dell get a look at it. Your beep codes aren't the in usual Phoenix patterns, but beep codes generally suggest a hardware problem.

Dell laptops normally have diagnostics software loaded, try running that. Press F12 during boot-up & select to run diagnostics.

If that's not an option, you'd have to download the diagnostics.
