Dell studio xps 435mt monitor doesn't come on after sleep

    I tried changing in Power Options unchecking the fast boot. That seems to have helped for a week. But now the problem has recurred. I have to force shut the computer and boot it again twice or thrice before the monitor could come alive again. The monitor is Dell 21" Monitor.

    I don't know what the effect might be, but I just updated the drivers for both display and monitor.

    Odds are the problem is way more related to Windows than it is the actual monitor.

    Waking up from sleep mode has been an on again / off again problem for decades.
