hi all im looking to get a gpu power supply http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/product/Power/PurePower/w0099/w0099.asp so i can supplement my **** 280w psu in my gx620 desktop version to put in the best low profile card i can find. how ever ive examined the atx 2.0 connector on my psu against the atx 2.0 standard and pin 10 and 11 are white rather than yellow.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATX the reason this would concern me is beacuse the gpu power supply would connect to the psu 24 pin connector to help it sync when the computer starts, now if the dells 24 pin wiring are not standard it could cause a problem with syncing.

does it matter if it syncs or not? cant i just turn the gpu psu on first then the computer after all it is a power supply to power graphic cards that takes 6pin pci express connectors

any input is valued thank you

    Mike,

I'm curious as to your findings. I don't know the answer but reading your own post in your other thread probably brought little more than a chuckle. It could get a little expensive trying to resolve this through trial and error. Please keep us posted re: your progress. Thanks.

    ;)
