I've been looking to buy a laptop primarily for business and school purposes. And I think I just got a pretty good one. Let me know what you think this was a good deal. It's a Refurbished Dell Latitude E6430S with 750 GB hard drive and 16 GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5-3320M, and running Windows 7 Professional. And after tax it was $400

On another note, My desktop is still running Windows 7 and to be honest I'm very happy with this operating system. Would you still suggest upgrading to Windows 10 (since it's free and more up to date)? Or is it just a matter of preference? Because I don't think I'd utilize any of the new features of Windows 10.

Hi Vaccaro. That model of laptop for the price is a good deal and will give you decent enough performance for web browsing and will allow for efficient multitasking.

I would not suggest upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 as the only major improvements in the new version would be better security, DirectX 12, and an improved Task Manager and Action Center. Those features won't improve your productivity and Windows 10 has more flaws than benefits compared to Windows 7.

You just answered your own question. If you don't think you will be using any of the new features then just stick with Windows 7 since its supported until 2020 with security updates anyway so there is no rush to upgrade.

Plus if you want to make the interface function like Windows 7 then you will need to do this first, How to make Windows 8 or Windows 10 behave like Windows 7.
