Recently I've been having a problem with my laptop battery not powering the computer when I put it in Standby and pull the power cord.

When I re-plug it in and tap the power button, nothing happens and I have to do a complete re-boot on AC power.

The Power Management section says I have 89% power and the battery is charging but the battery icon no longer blinks. It's been sitting on 89% for the last hour.

I never use the battery except for when I unplug my motor-home to go shopping. This has just started the last 3 or 4 times I've gone out.

Dell 9200, about a year old.

    Thanks

Suggest you aquire a spare for this sort of problem; replacement is the best diagnosis. It may be dead.
