Hello, I have 2 harddisks, master containing windows 2000 and windows 98, and slave unit containing windows 2000. I would like to get rid of windows 2000 in the slave unit since Im not using it and it takes up space. HOw do I go about this if I do not wish to change the slave unit into master and go through all the work changing things in the mainboard? Can I just delete the whole file entitled windows in my D drive?(which is the slave unit. C is master and E is the place where you put the CD) PLease help me. Thanks.

Is the second drive part of a tripple boot? If not, then you can simply bring up My Computer, right click on the second drive->Properties->tools->Format

If you are positive you aren't using anything from the 2K install on the slave disk, you could just delete the Windows folder (or WINNT) but it wouldn't be nearly as clean as Steve's suggestion of a format of the drive.

In either case, if you now see that load as a start-up option, you will need to edit c:\boot.ini (hidden and read only so change it before trying to edit) and remove the entry that points to the load on the slave drive.
