A while ago, I had my computer have 4 profiles- one for each member of the family. I deleted them however (I found them inefficient), and recently noticed that there are still many profiles hidden in the C Drive. I have my computer set to one user- owner. Thats whats always on. However, I am seeing various administrator accounts, and in both these and in the folder C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\config\systemprofile\desktop, ALL my folders on my main account are duplicated. This is taking up the majority of my hard drive, and I am not sure how to delete these duplicates.

When you removed the profiles you should have been given the option to remove their files as well. Guessing you said no to that question. If so, you can delete the folders manually.

Is there a way to see which folders are safe to remove? The four accounts I had before are gone, but there is still the administrator, owner, and main profiles.

When in doubt, leave em alone.

    I have:
    Administrator (default system)
    All Users
    Defualt users
    Guest
    Local Services
    Network services
    Steve

Most of these were created by Windows for whatever reason.

You can right click on My Computer->Manage->User account and disable some of the accounts.
