As a result of a virus infection and subsequent crash, I purchased a = newer version of WIN XP pro from a retail seller and installed it on hard = drive C.
I still have the old version, WIN XP pro, on hard drive D, which is now = only used for other programs and data storage. How can I remove it from that drive? Thank you, a frustrated Windows

The quick answer would be to delete the Windows folder on D: drive.

You may also want to consider deleting the Program Files folder and the Documents And Settings folder on the D; drive as well since they will be orphaned when you delete the Windows folder.

You will need to edit your boot.ini file to remove the line offering to boot the installation on the D: drive so you can boot without delay to your new install on the C: drive.
