Have windows xp- netscape 7.2- How do I delete email address when I forward emails. On some messages I'm able to but not all- When I hit forward, the email will sometimes be blank when I send it, and I'm not able to delete anything.
Thanks in advance for any info- appreciate it.

    Mayo37,

When I click on "Forward" on any message in Netscape 7.2 Mail, the Address Fields are always blank?

Have you tried instead, clicking on:

Message | Edit Message as new

You can change both the TO: and FROM: this way.

  3. to hide this advert.

When I try to edit as new, it is still blank, and the To has the latest addresses, nothing else is visible.????

I think I know what you mean. This problem may be solvable, but I gave up long ago. I got a free third part utility called eCleaner , and I copy the text of e-mail, and paste it into it. Save the new document, now with no extra addresses.
Then, I can use it to print a clean message, or or I can copy/paste it into a new e-mail, without the frequently very long list from forwarded messages.
    Is this what you want?

Have done the c& p, but sometimes I can't get the pictures on it unless I save it to the desktop: a long process- was looking for a quick fix. Didn't have this problem with earlier versions of netscape. Frustrating- Thanks for your post tho.

I are correct, showing that I don't, usually, get HTML mail. In theory, it should be possible to get an HTML message in eCleaner, but have not figured it out how to do it. With HTML, I reply to myself, and send the highlighted part of the message. I am sure that there is a simpler way. I could also save as a file, but, I refuse to save a file in .eml format, unless I am sending it to an avowed microsofter.

Added later: I received one e-mail which says: Suggestion: copy and paste
rather than forward to protect email addresses and access to e-virus.

That is, pretty much the way I have been doing all along. I can, also store such e-mails, without having to carry along some 50 e-mails.

I went into the mail settings and checked to include original message in reply- then I'm able to go and delete all the email addresses and then forward.
Hip Hip--thanks for the other suggestions.
