    Using Outlook Express 6.

Finding that when I type an e mail I have found that the delete key will not work i.e. if I make a mistake cannot delete it!).

This key works on everything else I work with on my computer so feel it must just be an OE THING.

Did post about this a few weeks ago but every one thought I meant I could not delete messages (which I can).

BE GRATEFUL OF ANY HELP PLEASE.

Hi Snowdrop, a quick Google shows Outlook Express 6 was released with XP in 2001!
Maybe you need to update OE to a newer version?

I have used Mozilla Thunderbird for many years from Version 1 and it's now at Version 24.1.0!
I cannot help with your problem as I haven't got a copy of OE 6 on any of my comps. Neil.

ps. Have you got SP3 installed in your OS?

Hi Snowdrop, just thinking about your Delete - when you type an email message and you make a "typo" - using Backspace key will remove mistake?

To use the Delete key - you need to Highlight the error first - then use Delete?
Or exactly what are you trying to Delete? Neil.

Windows Live Mail is the replacement for Outlook Express if you interested in newer software. It resembles OE in many ways.

You can install it along with Outlook Express in XP (I did), and play around with it. WLM is fairly basic looking except it gives you RSS feeds, a useable calender, as well as a contacts folder, too. And, of course, there is the old Newsgroups folder, but it is worthless without an NNTP bridge (free software).

I use Microsoft Office Outlook for my main mail needs, but I use WLM to download from Hotmail (now known as Outlook.com), and Gmail POP accounts. Download WLM and play with it some.
