A software title is showing in my Downloads, trying to remove, keeps showing that it is running in system and can not be deleted, repeating "try again" even after a reboot. File in question is Win10_1607_Englishx64 iso. Can this file be deleted?

That a disk image of Windows 10 Anniversary Update. It is used to make installation media such as dvd or usb thumb drive. It should not be running ever and can be deleted. If you happen to double-click the file it may auto-mount and then be listed in Computer just like a CD or DVD drive. If so, rt click the drive icon and select Eject, after which you should be able to delete the iso file.

It is odd that it is running. If Tony's suggestion does not work, you might try booting into Safe Mode then see if you can delete. If you still cannot delete it, MoveOnBoot will let you tag the file then delete it early-on during the next boot cycle, before Windows or any application can set hooks in it.

Thank you for response. Carried out instruction and it certainly deleted file and reference of USB disk. I am taking a note for any similar errors. Thank you again, BobbyScot.
