delelting temp files

    i have got this file( Perflib_Perfdata_420) in my C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp files and i cannnot delelte it i am running xp can you help me to delelte it

    I ran a www.google.com search on "Perflib_Perfdata_420" and got nothing.
    I then ran a search on just Perflib
    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=Perflib
    and Perflib_Perfdata
    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=Perflib_Perfdata
    Perhaps not something you really want to delete??

    It's a Performance Monitor counter temp. file.
    Stop & Disable these Services:
    WMI Performance Adapter
    Performance Logs and Alerts

    and configure theb logging done by Performance Monitor via Administrative Tools\Performance.

    Similar files can appear in the System32 folder, but they are different:
