Hi all. Whenever I use Windows Media Player to play an album that is stored on the hard drive, for the last 15 seconds, it will stop and start. I think this is as it is getting ready to play the next track, it is loading it, and consequently, the one currently playing suffers. On my PC, which is seven years old, it never used to do this, and the laptop that I am on, is a lot more powerful. Going from a 1.5GHZ processor to 1.8, from 512MB RAM to 1GB etc etc. It doesn't just do it with Media Player. For example, when playing poker, as the cards are dealt, the sound effect for that, there is a delay in playing each card. Any ideas?

Worked an absolute treat, thanks for that Charles. Just had to disable the enhancements.
