defrag win98 2edition

Hi

I scandisk and it said fixed all errors I go into safe mode to defrag and it gets about 12 percent done and it tells me to run scandisk in through mode so I do and then try to defrag and it gives me the same error message can anyone help.

Have you emptied out your Temporary Internet Files, Temp and History folders plus the Recycle Bin? Did you run Disk Cleanup before running Scandisk then defragging? How much space do you have left on your primary hard drive? Do you have all of the Windows Updates for Win98SE?

Hi everyone
thank you for the good info I went into safe mode cleaned out all my temp folders and cookies and the defrag work great.
