Okay, I'm sure this has been asked but,,,,Can IR be my default browser with Netscape Messanger 4.78 my default e-mail program? When I click on link in e-mail from 4.78 Messanger why does it open up Netscape. I would like it to open IE. Boy I wish Netscape would sell JUST their e-mail programs,,ever a chance Ramona??
    Thank You,,Paul D

    Hi Paul,

Don't we all wish that Netscape would release Messenger as a separate Mail Program! In our dreams..... :(

Your default browser will handle the mailto and news protocols. Netscape also looks specifically at the Application entry in the DDE section of the File Types dialog. So, if IE is your default, then links in Messenger will open in IE. If you made Netscape your default, then Messenger will open links in OE. See this page for guidelines on Making Netscape the Default Browser. You can reverse the instructions for making IE the Default Browser.

You might also want to follow this thread: Netscape as my default browser.
Rhody1 isn't having success yet, but hopefully we will win the Messenger/OE battle for dominance!
