My aunt was working on her resume a few weeks ago on a computer that runs Windows 2000 and MS Office 2000. Ever since then, whenever Word is opened, her resume automatically pops up as Document1. It's been deleted several times and also, Office has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've deleted the words and saved Document1 as a blank document, but when I open it, the resume comes back.

    Any ideas?

She has somehow over-written normal.dot (the default template used to set up a 'new' word document) with that one.

Open a new document, remove all contents, make sure the settings are what she wants when she opens a new document, and do a "save as" and name it Normal with a document type of .dot (document template). Replace the existing copy.
