   I found that some public machine has the pre-set home page in IE browser, which does not change even after setting another home page as default in IE, Tools > Internet Options > General > homepage. I.e. this homepage always stay when I launch the browser. Its interesting what they use to set their page? Where did they write it?

   Several pieces of software around that will lock the home page - Tweaking Toolbox XP for one, written by Admin (Arie). There's a scropt at Kellys Korner - line 63 left column and several other offerings on this Google search ....
