I have Internet Explorer 9 on my Windows 7 computer. At present my default e-mail address is my hotmail account. Can anyone tell me specifically how to change my default e-mail address? Thank you very much. Strop

Which email application are you using? The default setting is usually changed there under the ACCOUNTS settings.

So you bring up your browser and go to www.Hotmail.com?
    Well - don't go there;)

What would you like to be your default?

I am not aware you can change your Default hotmail address you certainly can add another email address of your own or create another address (see below) via Hotmail > login > Options > Account overview > other options >Your email addresses > Add an email address > Add an email address to your account, and you can use it in your contact information and on your profile. You can also set it to be your preferred address to receive Windows Live notifications, invitations, and alerts.

Be careful about what you ask for, you don't know Who or What might be listening!
